What We Believe

The statement below is what members of Navigate Church believe.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and sufficient for all aspects of life and faith. It reveals God's character, His plan for salvation, and His guidance for living a life that honors Him.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21; John 17:17

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, and together they exist in perfect unity.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14 see also 1 Corinthians 8:6; Colossians 2:9; Acts 5:3-4

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. His sacrificial death and physical resurrection provide the only means for our salvation.
John 1:1; 14; 18; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24-26; 4:25; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:5-8; 1 Timothy 2:5

We believe that Jesus Christ is the visible image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation, and the Creator and Sustainer of all that exists. He is the Head of the church and the source of our life and purpose. We affirm that the Lord Jesus Christ is currently in heaven, exalted at the right hand of God. In His role as High Priest, He serves as our Advocate, interceding on our behalf and providing us with the grace and strength we need to live for Him. Colossians 1:15-19; Hebrews 1:3; 3:1; 7:23-25; 1 John 2:1-2

Humanity

We believe that humanity was created innocent and in the image of God, but that through sin, both physical and spiritual death entered the world. Genesis 1:27; 2:17; 3:19 As a result, every person is in need of salvation, and our sinful nature often leads us away from God's good design for life and worship. Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 6:23 Romans 1:20-24; Ephesians 2:1-3 This rebellion creates confusion about what is good and evil, causing harm to ourselves and others, and ultimately leading to judgment and despair. Genesis 1:31; Galatians 5:16-21; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; James 1:13-15

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We cannot earn salvation through our works; it is only by God's grace that we are saved. Acts 13:38-39; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 1:4-5; 2:8-10 We are called to repent of our sins and place our trust in Christ for eternal life. John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is present in the world today, empowering believers for a life of obedience and service. The Holy Spirit indwells every Christian, guiding and teaching us as we grow in our faith. John 16:7-11; John 3:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 13; John 14:16-17; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:19

The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, consisting of all believers. The church exists to glorify God, equip believers for service, and reach out to those who do not yet know Christ. We are committed to loving one another and spreading the Gospel message. Ephesians 1:22-23, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Colossians 1:18, Acts 2:42-47, 1 Peter 2:9, Hebrews 10:24-25

The Return of Christ

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom and judge the living and the dead. We look forward to His return and strive to live in a way that reflects our anticipation of His coming. Philippians 3:20; Matthew 24:15-31; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-21

At Navigate Church, we are passionate about helping others understand and embrace these truths. We invite you to join us in exploring these beliefs further and to become part of a community dedicated to living out our faith in practical ways.
